The Chablis Saint Martin is a blending of the most beautiful plots of the domaine on appellation. The terroir of Chablis located on the Kimmeridgian soil has both excellent acidity and remarkable finesse. Thanks to a long ageing on fine lees, Chablis Saint Martin offers the typical minerality.
It ferments in stainless steel vats and aged in steel tanks and “foudres” – large oak casks- of 55hl (15%) on fine lees.
The summer conditions are dry with temperatures above seasonal norms (> 37 °C) which favoured the advanced veraison of 8 days compared to the last year. Autumn and mild winters. After 2 complicated years, going up to -50% of the harvest, the Domaine Laroche is looking forward to a nice 2018 harvest in quality (a vintage similar to 2015) with a return to normal in terms of the amount.
A vintage that reveals the limestone and the singularity of the terroirs of Chablis. Its dress is pale, yellow, limpid and brilliant. The nose opens on notes of chalks, flowers white and fresh fruits like the apple. The fermentations partly in lightning oak (30 years) bring subtle and complex notes of fresh undergrowth and of cedar. Its taste showcases a mineral mouth with a long and saline finish.
It is perfect as an aperitif or to pair with seafood, prawns or fish. It should be served at 10-12°C.
The Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois is a fine blended red wine from the Bordeaux region. The red wine is a mix of four grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. A very expressive, light and woody with fine complexity red wine to enjoy.
